Hi Jen,

I've been lucky enough to get to Italy several times this year ... and you're absolutely correct: It is fabulous. Florence was especially lovely, and not an outrageous train ride from here. I'm planning to go back to Florence in December. Anything specific you'd recommend?

Well, of course there's the Uffizi and Accademia (Birth of Venus in the former, David in the latter), but there's really so much more. Last time I was there I stayed in a great B&B called the Tourist House Ghiberti, which is in the house wherein Ghiberti built the doors for the Duomo...Don't get me started, Bridget!

Sounds great, Jen. I'll have to look into the B&B for my upcoming trip. I've stayed in a couple hotels in Florence, but none of them to write home about.
