Staying at the Cuevas del Negro Cave House and Cortijo makes for a truly distinctive and memorable holiday experience.

If you tire of uninspired 'fast-food holiday' style accommodation, the kind where each room and every dish becomes a carbon copy of the last, then this could be just the place you have been looking for.

True hospitality under the Spanish Sun and Stars

The Cuevas del Negro Cave House and Cortijo will introduce you to a style of accommodation where an altogether fresh approach is taken to hospitality and relaxation. You will not be able to bronze yourself next to a crowded swimming pool or have your hearing numbed by the blast of disco speakers here; and that is just the point.

Here, there is an intimacy that cannot be reproduced, here the idea is that you come away feeling that maybe you have experienced a ‘real’ slice of authentic Spain. An echo, perhaps, that harks back to what this beautiful country had to offer before the tourist hordes descended. This is a place to enjoy an icy cold cerveza or rich red Rioja as the brilliant Spanish sun sinks into the earth and leaves you beneath a star laden night sky; far from the pollution of city lights.

Spanish Holiday Accommodation with a Difference

The Cuevas del Negro Cave House and Cortijo is located just 12 minutes from the historic southern Spanish village of Benamaurel and approximately 100 km from the ancient Moorish capital of Granada. Here you will find a land of truly unique beauty; a landscape that has often, misleadingly, been described as lunar-like. This unfairly conjures the image of a desolate barren plain but, in reality, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Discover a hidden corner of Spain that preserves a distinctive natural beauty which has for years’ captivated and inspired poets and artisans alike.

Rural Spanish Escape amid Olive and Almond Groves

Accommodation within the Cortijo (Spanish Farm House) is very affordable, consisting of the following:

 • Prices are 30 Euros a room per night, with a maximum of two people a room.
 • Stays from one day up to a maximum of two weeks, contact the Guesthouse directly for availability
 • Sleeping for up to eight people - six single beds and one double
 • There is one supplementary ‘overspill’ room for additional guests
 • Bathroom – Shower, Toilet and Sink
 • Fully equipped Self Catering Kitchen
 • Continental Breakfast available on request
 • Evening Meals provided on request ranging in price from 15 to 20 Euros
 • Beer and Wine are additional and are available for purchase
 • Guest Garden and Enclosed Patio
 • Ample Guest Parking

Hiking and Nature Watching in Spain’s National Parks

For those seeking out the natural wonders that Andalusia has to offer, the accommodation couldn’t be more perfectly placed. Nearby, you will find access to some stunning National Parks; renowned not only in Spain but also highly regarded throughout Europe.

Explore the Sierra de Baza, the Sierra de Cazorla National Parks and even the expansive Negatin Lake is well worth a visit; with its manmade beach and wide-ranging selection of water sport facilities. An exhaustive selection of both fauna and flora, much of which is exclusive to this part of the Iberian Peninsula, can be enjoyed within these many thousands of acres of protected parkland. At the end of a long day of exploration, you can even soak in the thermal pools that are a mere seven minutes away from the Cortijo by car.

I totally agree that Spain is the perfect place for an awesome holiday. We are a large family and were recently looking for some Cheap Spanish Property and found such a variety. They had something for everyone to do.
